Omri TalI have read your very interesting 2009 paper, The first Korean genome sequence and analysis: Full genome sequencing for a socio-ethnic group. Figure 2 depicts the SNPs shared and not shared by individuals. I am not clear on something: I notice that each individual has a different number of SNPs, and this means that "A shares x% SNPs with B" is not equivalent to "B shares x% SNPs with A". Is this correct? If so, this "SNP sharing" measure is not indicative of the ASD measure, correct?

Answer: Yes, correct.  To get ASD, we used 36,000 (?) SNPs that are common for all the genomes and Hapmap data. Using those, we calculate ASD.
